Ramaco Appoints Van Wyk to Lead Critical Minerals Processing
Ramaco Resources, Inc. has appointed Martin van Wyk as Senior Vice President of Critical Minerals Processing. Van Wyk, a seasoned expert in his field, will lead the critical minerals processing development of the Brook Mine Project in Wyoming, U.S.
Van Wyk brings over 23 years of global experience in mineral processing, hydrometallurgy, and rare earth elements (REEs) flowsheet development. His impressive academic background includes a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and a Post Graduate Certificate in Corrosion Engineering from Curtin University, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
Ramaco's Chairman and CEO, Randall W. Atkins, welcomed van Wyk's appointment, praising his unique experience and innovative approach. Van Wyk has previously contributed to Ramaco's innovation program while working for a leading independent engineering firm. He will relocate from Australia to the United States to take on this role. Prior to joining Ramaco Resources, Inc., van Wyk worked for Alliance Resource Partners, L.P.
Van Wyk's expertise in critical minerals and hydrometallurgy will be invaluable to Ramaco's ongoing projects. He will lead the critical minerals processing development at the Brook Mine Project, contributing to the Company's goal of becoming a significant producer of rare earth and critical minerals in Wyoming.
