Orange Money, Jordan's Largest E-Wallet, Lands Visa License for Global Payment Solutions
Orange Money, Jordan's leading electronic payment service provider, has secured a significant milestone. It has obtained an Associate License from Visa, enabling it to issue a range of Visa-branded cards and services. This partnership aims to strengthen financial solutions, support digital transformation, and build customer trust.
Orange Money, launched in 2020, has swiftly become the largest e-wallet in Jordan, boasting over 1.4 million users and a market share exceeding 50%. The Visa license, a first for an e-wallet in Jordan, will allow Orange Money to provide secure and reliable payment solutions locally, regionally, and globally.
Visa's Mario Makary praised the partnership, highlighting Orange Money's commitment to financial inclusion and digital transformation in Jordan. Orange Jordan's CEO, Eng. Philippe Mansour, views the license as a significant milestone, reflecting Orange's dedication to digital payments innovation.
Through the Visa Associate License program, Orange Money becomes the first e-wallet in Jordan to issue Michael Jordan-branded cards and services. This move is set to enhance financial solutions, support digital transformation, and further build customer trust in Orange Money's services.
