In a strategic move, Spanish tier supplier, Grupo Antolin, is strengthening its presence in Asia, aiming to grow alongside Thailand and the entire region as they transition towards electric and connected vehicles.

The company's latest venture is the opening of a new plant in Rayong, Thailand, which is now producing acoustic foams. This plant, equipped with the latest technology and sustainable processes, also houses an in-house testing laboratory to maintain high levels of quality. According to Ernesto Antolin, chairman of Antolin, the Rayong plant will serve as a benchmark in innovation and sustainability.

In addition to the Rayong plant, Antolin is also expanding its operations in Cikarang, Indonesia, where it is producing headliner units and assessing potential for producing door panels, lighting systems, and electronic systems. Here, Antolin is working closely with a local partner, APM Armada Autoparts (AAA), to create skilled employment and sustainable value for local economies.

Antolin's Asian plants are not only focused on production but also on developing local talent and transferring knowledge. The company is committed to using recycled materials, bio-based adhesives, and ecologically responsible treatments in its plants, reflecting its dedication to sustainability.

The expanded Asian operations will supply existing customers in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam with interiors for new electric and hybrid models. Antolin's ambition is to grow with the region, supporting the transition towards electric and connected vehicles.

On October 28 this year, Antolin participated in the Automotive Logistics and Supply Chain ASEAN conference, held in Singapore, further solidifying its commitment to the Asian market.

With 32 plants and 8 technical-commercial offices across Asia, employing over 3,800 people, Antolin is poised to make a significant impact in the region's automotive industry. The company's expansion in Asia is a testament to its commitment to growth, innovation, and sustainability.
