Ola Electric's EV Sales Soar, Turns EBITDA Positive as 'Bharat Cell' Launch Looms
Ola Electric, the Indian electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has announced significant progress in its operations. The company plans to introduce its proprietary 4680 'Bharat Cell' in vehicles starting this Navratri. This comes amidst reports of improved financial performance and ambitious targets for the current fiscal year.
Ola Electric's auto business achieved an important milestone in June 2025, turning EBITDA positive. This positive trend continued into the first quarter of FY26, with the auto segment's EBITDA losses narrowing to -11.6%.
The company's financials for Q1 FY26 showed a substantial improvement. Revenue jumped by 35% to Rs 828 crore compared to the previous quarter. Despite a net loss of Rs 428 crore, free cash flow improved significantly to -Rs 107 crore, a stark contrast to the -Rs 455 crore in the previous quarter.
Ola Electric's vehicle deliveries also witnessed a notable increase. The company delivered 68,192 units in Q1 FY26, marking a 32.7% rise from the previous quarter. The success of its third-generation scooters, which now account for 80% of total sales, has been a key driver of this growth and margin recovery.
Looking ahead, Ola Electric has set ambitious targets for FY26. The company aims to sell between 3.25 to 3.75 lakh units and achieve revenue of Rs 4,200 crore to Rs 4,700 crore. With the upcoming deployment of its 'Bharat Cell' and continued improvement in financial performance, Ola Electric is poised for significant growth in the EV market.
