New Blueprint Aims to Support Diversity Officers in Think Tanks
A new blueprint has been created to support Diversity Officers in think tanks. The guide, developed by experienced professionals, aims to assist leaders, HR, and interested parties in promoting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
The blueprint, based on discussions during the Think Tank Lab Diversity Challenge and input from DEI experts, provides a roadmap for planning activities and defining the role's scope. It is designed to help think tank leaders and HR create a more inclusive work environment.
Ayşe Yürekli, a specialist in EU policy and DEI, has played a key role in its development. She brings her extensive experience to the project. The guide also benefits from the insights of Andre Weisser, Community Manager at the Tony Blair Institute and former diversity coordinator at Stiftung Neue Verantwortung. Barbara Pongratz, an analyst at MERICS focusing on Sino-German relations and China's environmental policy, has also contributed to the blueprint.
The blueprint is intended for think tank leaders, HR, and anyone interested in fostering DEI. It offers practical guidance on creating and implementing a successful Diversity Officer role. Despite the search, no information was found about a Diversity Officer recognized by the Berlin Bosphorus Initiative in 2022.
