Entrepreneur Fined for Wage Theft and Social Security Evasion
An entrepreneur from Woltersdorf has been penalised by the Regional Court of Frankfurt (Oder) for withholding and misappropriating wages. The entrepreneur employed three workers on a minor scale but failed to report them correctly to the social security office.
The entrepreneur, whose identity remains unknown, failed to pay employee and employer contributions to the social security system. This resulted in a total of over 4,900 EUR in unpaid contributions. The workers were discovered to have been working beyond the permitted hours on a construction site in Berlin.
The court issued a penalty order, fining the entrepreneur 75 daily rates of 15 EUR each, totalling 1,125 EUR. This penalty is in addition to the unpaid social security contributions.
The entrepreneur from Woltersdorf is currently under investigation for wage withholding and abuse. The penalty order serves as a reminder of the importance of adhering to employment laws and regulations.
