Cuba's Leader Explores Investment Opportunities in Vietnam's Industrial Parks
Esteban Lazo Hernández, Cuba's top leader, visited Nestlé Bông Sen Company and Thăng Long II Industrial Park in Hưng Yên Province, Vịet Nam. The trip aimed to explore potential cooperation and investment calculator opportunities.
Thăng Long II Industrial Park, established in 2006, is a significant hub for investment and job creation. The park spans 527 hectares and hosts 82 investors from Japan, Vịet Nam, the Republic of Korea, and Switzerland, with a total investment of US$3.2 billion. It has created jobs for 27,000 workers and contributed significantly to the province's economic development.
The park is operated by Sumitomo Group, a Japanese investor with a global footprint. Sumitomo manages 10 industrial parks across six countries, including five in Vịet Nam. Esteban Lazo Hernández expressed hope that enterprises like Sumitomo Group will visit and participate in industrial park infrastructure development in Cuba. Cuba plans to expand its industrial parks in the future, strengthen cooperation, and attract more foreign investment.
Esteban Lazo Hernández praised the modern development of Nestlé Bông Sen and the infrastructure investment at Thăng Long II Industrial Park. His visit signals Cuba's interest in learning from Vịet Nam's successful industrial park model and fostering further investment and cooperation.
