Betway Africa Set for Major Expansion in Nigeria and Beyond

Betway Africa, a leading gaming brand since 2015, is set to bolster its presence in Nigeria and other high-growth markets across the continent. The company's casino products, contributing two-thirds of its net revenue, have seen a remarkable sevenfold increase in wagers since 2022.

Betway Africa's expansion is driven by the vast potential of the African gaming market, estimated at $12 billion. Nigeria, with a total addressable market of $2.6 billion and over 235 million people, is a key focus. The company's proprietary platform, Synapse, ensures scalability and swift feature deployment, supporting this growth.

Super Group, the parent company, is capitalising on eased regulatory uncertainty in Nigeria to expand its footprint. Ethiopia, Angola, Namibia, and Ivory Coast are identified as the next potential growth territories. In the second quarter, Africa and the Middle East revenue for Betway Africa surged 38.8% year-on-year to $229 million, reflecting the region's growth and the company's strategic investments.

Betway Africa's CEO, Laurence Michel, has confirmed the company's readiness to invest heavily in Nigeria. With casino products driving two-thirds of its net revenue and a sevenfold increase in wagers since 2022, Betway Africa is poised for significant growth across the continent.
