Aschaffenburg's Energy Discussions Kick Off in September

Aschaffenburg's energy discussions kick off this September, focusing on building, renovating, and net energy. The series, held at the VHS hall, offers both in-person and online participation. Topics range from roof insulation to energy-efficient windows and heat pumps.

The first lecture, 'Green Buildings - Improving the Climate at Your Own Home', starts the series on September 18 at 7 p.m. Online participants can join via email, receiving access data beforehand.

On September 25, the second lecture, 'Insulating Your Roof Properly', delves into thermal insulation and energy-efficient renovation funding programs. Antonia Pfeiffer and Rebecca Landwehr will speak about building and vegetation technology for roof and facade greening, and the Aschaffenburg funding program for building greening in the third lecture on October 23, titled 'Heat Pumps Are Not Witchcraft'. This session will also discuss different types of heat pumps and the regional campaign 'Home Advantage'.

The final lecture, 'Modern Windows: Energy-Efficient and Secure!', will be held on November 20, covering energy-efficient windows and burglary protection.

Registration for the discussions is open at www.vhs-our-website, allowing participants to choose between in-person and online attendance. All lectures will be streamed simultaneously for free. The city of Aschaffenburg's energy discussions aim to inform and engage residents in sustainable building and energy practices.
