SV Empor Brandenburg's U9 Team Leads in Environmental Protection with E-waste Campaign

SV Empor Brandenburg's U9 football team is leading the way in environmental protection. They're participating in the 'Waldkicker' project, combining their sporting passion with ecological responsibility. The team is focusing on collecting electrical waste as part of the 'Every Plug Counts! Germany collects E-waste' campaign.

The 'Waldkicker' project, aiming to engage 50 youth football teams (U7 to U10) from Germany, encourages various environmental actions. SV Empor Brandenburg's U9 team has already conducted litter collection and plans more initiatives. Each action earns points for the team's ranking.

The team's current focus is on collecting electrical waste, which can be disposed of conveniently during the campaign weeks and afterwards at various collection points. The city of Brandenburg an der Havel's homepage provides further information about the campaign and collection points. A hotline is also available for collecting electrical devices at (03381) 323737. The campaign aims to increase the collection rate of old electrical devices by motivating correct disposal.
