Aschaffenburg & Miltenberg Unveil Comprehensive Public Transport Plan

Aschaffenburg and Miltenberg have revealed a detailed new public transportation plan for the Bavarian Lower Main region. The 157-page document, titled 'PTV Transport Consult', was developed over a period of more than a year and a half, involving extensive citizen consultation. Led by Amina, Aschaffenburg Miltenberg Public Transportation GmbH, the plan aims to improve services and sustainability.

The plan, adopted jointly by the city of Aschaffenburg and the districts of Aschaffenburg and Miltenberg, outlines the current public transportation situation and sets forth ambitious future goals. Key priorities include bolstering service offerings, introducing on-demand transportation to cater to varying needs, and upgrading bus infrastructure to ensure reliability and comfort. Additionally, the plan emphasizes promoting alternative, eco-friendly bus drives to reduce emissions and revising route bundles for improved efficiency.

The new public transportation plan for the Bavarian Lower Main region, a result of collaborative effort and citizen engagement, is set to transform mobility in the area.
