Air Water Gas Solutions Breaks Ground on $100M ASU in Rochester, NY

Air Water Gas Solutions, a subsidiary of Air Water America, has initiated construction on a multi-million-dollar air separation unit (ASU) in Rochester, New York. The ASU, located at Eastman Business Park, will supply industrial gases to Red Rochester and its customers under a 20-year supply agreement, starting operations in 2026. This project aims to provide high-purity nitrogen, oxygen, and argon, crucial for various industries.

Air Water first announced plans to build the ASU in August 2023. The company will build, own, and operate the facility, ensuring a steady supply of essential gases to support both process safety and manufacturing performance for businesses on the park.

Daniel Kelley, CEO of Red Rochester, expressed optimism about the agreement. He stated that it will offer customers greater supply security and pricing stability in the long term. Nitrogen, in particular, is a critical utility for many companies, supporting their operations and productivity.

The ASU is expected to begin operations in 2026, marking a significant step in securing a reliable and stable supply of high-purity industrial gases for Red Rochester and its customers. This investment by Air Water Gas Solutions is set to bolster the region's industrial capabilities and support long-term growth.
