A Key Player in the Auto Industry Plans to Alter America's Pickup Truck and Sport Utility Vehicle Market Yet Once More

The first models, the electric SUV called Traveler and the electric pick-up called Terra, are scheduled to begin production in 2027 at the Scout Motors Production Center near Columbia, South Carolina. Both models will be offered as battery electric vehicles and with range extender technology, featuring off-road capabilities and an 800-volt architecture with fast charging support.
Scout vehicles embody body-on-frame architecture, a solid rear axle, electric torque, and over-the-air updates. They are designed to honour the credibility of the original Scout vehicles (1961-1980) while injecting that heritage with modern performance and technology.
Both the Traveler and Terra vehicles share priorities, including the integration of an optional bench seat and intuitive, easy-to-use technology. Scout Motors considers its products and brand as 'Connection Machines,' connecting American truck heritage with modern ingenuity.
The vehicles are designed to connect drivers with their passengers and the vehicle itself through tactile switches, knobs, and handles. This commitment to connection extends to the Community UX, ensuring the vehicles remain 'Connection Machines.'
