In an effort to enhance the efficiency and comfort of air-cushioned vehicle services in Yakutsk, JSC "Yakutia Railways" is constructing a new passenger waiting point named "Namy" in the city's 204th microdistrict. The facility, located near the intersection of 5th Zapadny Passage and Amur Street, will provide much-needed assistance in addressing challenges in passenger transfer across the river during ice-up and ice-melt.

The waiting point will be equipped with a variety of amenities, including passenger waiting rooms, an office for administrative and operational use, workshop facilities for vehicle maintenance and repairs, and warehouses for storage needs. To ensure travellers' comfort, the facility will also feature a warm waiting room, warm toilets, and a place to wash hands.

The waiting point will not be a full-fledged station but will have an asphalt coating, making it easier for air-cushioned vehicles to approach. The construction of the waiting point includes the improvement of the land plot, which has been taken by JSC "Yakutia Railways" for this purpose.

The waiting point will be located approximately 50 meters from the city routes' bus stop and is adjacent to the substation area. Temporary wagons will be provided for passenger stay while the construction is not completed this year. The waiting point will have a small platform and a building with a capital descent via a staircase platform.

It's worth noting that a similar, but larger waiting point has been built in the village of Lower Bestakh. Alexei Mostnikov, the management of JSC "Yakutia Railways", has confirmed that the waiting point in the 204th microdistrict will be a smaller version of the one built in Lower Bestakh.

The construction of the waiting point in the 204th microdistrict is part of a larger project that also includes the asphalt coating and bus stop as part of the reconstruction of the automobile road. The new facilities are set to significantly improve the passenger experience and contribute to the growing passenger transportation by railway in the region.

The new waiting point in Yakutsk's 204th microdistrict, named "Namy," is being constructed by JSC "Yakutia Railways" to address challenged in passenger transfer. The facility, designed for air-cushioned vehicles, will also serve as a hub for finance, industry, and transportation, offering amenities such as workshops for vehicle maintenance and repairs, warehouses for storage, and administrative offices.
