WM Group exits with Ulrich's departure

Torsten Ulrich, 54, announces his departure as manager of WM Group effective May 31, 2025, marking a decade since joining the company. Throughout his tenure, he oversaw critical areas such as WM Data Service, Tax Products, international financial standards, and key products like the International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) and the LEI reference code. Since last summer, he has additionally managed the Audit and Börsen-Zeitung sectors.

In his post-management role, Ulrich will continue to work closely with WM Group, starting June 1 in an external senior advisor capacity. His primary focus will be on tasks related to the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA), an organization responsible for assigning global securities identifiers. Ulrich serves as ANNA's chairman and holds board positions in the Derivatives Service Bureau, Identifier Engine Company, and ANNA Implementation Company.

Chairman of WM Group's supervisory board, Joachim Lauterbach, commend Ulrich for his instrumental role in shaping WM Group's development over the past decade. Lauterbach expressed gratitude for his tenure and delight at his continued involvement in the global standardization organizations. Ulrich's contributions to ANNA and its affiliated bodies have significantly influenced the development, governance, and implementation of global financial instrument identifiers, ensuring consistent and reliable identification standards in the financial markets.

In his new role as an external senior advisor for WM Group starting June 1, Ulrich will continue to engage in tasks related to the Association of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA), where he serves as chairman and holds positions on the boards of the Derivatives Service Bureau, Identifier Engine Company, and ANNA Implementation Company. His work with these organizations has had a substantial impact on the development, governance, and implementation of global financial instrument identifiers, contributing to consistent and reliable identification standards within the finance industry and business.
