Architecture Today Awards 2025: Showcase Enduring Excellence and Reconnect with Clients

Submissions are now invited for the eagerly anticipated Architecture Today Awards 2025. The esteemed awards program recognizes buildings that have stood the test of time, demonstrating enduring value through decades of use, adaptation, and continued relevance. If your design has delivered long-term value for clients, users, and the wider community, this is your opportunity to showcase your achievement.

"In some ways, it's more exciting to win an award for something that's been there for over 20 years," said Glenn Howells, a recipient of last year's honors. "It shows that it works, not just that it was great on the day we handed over."

For architects, the Awards offer a chance to reconnect with past clients, delving into how their projects have evolved over the years and exploring the potential for future collaborations. Winning an Architecture Today Award serves as a powerful recognition for clients, affirming their project's enduring success.

Sarah Dunning, client of the award-winning Gloucester Services, echoed this sentiment: "Ten years ago, we hadn't proved the concept. Now we feel we're some way down the line." Meanwhile, Shaun Sutar from TNG Community Centre described the moment of winning as "incredible to see the steering group's hard work and journey come full circle. Now their legacy supports not just the development of the Well Park community, but the whole of Lewisham Borough."

Entries for the 2025 Architecture Today Awards are open across a wide array of categories, encompassing fields such as education, healthcare, residential development, transport, and landscape architecture, among others. Projects completed before April 1, 2022, are eligible, whether they are new builds or retrofits. The deadline for entries is June 23, 2025, with the live finals taking place in September 2025 and the Awards Party scheduled for November 2025.

Submissions should focus on the project's enduring value, showcasing high-quality materials, robust construction, and timeless design that ensure the building remains relevant and functional over time. Emphasis should also be placed on sustainability, community impact, and the historical or cultural significance of the project (if applicable).

To demonstrate enduring value, consider highlighting aspects such as:

*Quality, Longevity, and Functionality: Present high-quality materials, robust construction, and timeless design that ensure the building remains relevant and functional over time.

*Sustainability: Showcase sustainable design, energy efficiency, and adaptability for future needs.

*Community Impact: Present evidence of positive impact on users and the broader community, such as civic engagement, educational value, or social benefits.

*Historical or Cultural Significance: If applicable, illustrate how the project preserves or enhances local heritage.
