In a grand celebration set to take place in Boston on October 23, legal professionals across Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island will gather to recognise outstanding contributions and achievements within the region. The event, known as The American Lawyer's New England Legal Awards, is a distinguished celebration of professional excellence.

This year, WilmerHale has made a significant impact, with several of its departments and individuals being recognised as finalists in various categories.

The firm's IP Litigation group has been named a Legal Innovators & Disruptors Finalist, showcasing their groundbreaking work in intellectual property law. The Business Litigation department has also been recognised as a Litigation Departments of the Year: Business Litigation Finalist, demonstrating their prowess in commercial disputes. Additionally, WilmerHale's Appellate department is a Litigation Departments of the Year: Appellate Finalist, highlighting their expertise in appellate law.

WilmerHale has also been awarded Litigation Departments of the Year in Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation, further cementing their position as a leading law firm in these areas.

Individually, Kevin Prussia has been recognised as both an In-House Impact: In-House Departments of the Year Finalist and a Social Impact Finalist, reflecting his significant contributions to the firm and the wider community. Ellen Stephano has been named a Most Promising Newcomer Finalist, a testament to her promising start in the legal profession.

Erika Schutzman has been awarded the Rising Stars Winner, an accolade that recognises her exceptional work and potential for future success. Felicia Ellsworth has also been named an Attorney of the Year Finalist, a prestigious honour in the legal community.

The "Attorney of the Year Finalist" at the New England Legal Awards 2023 is BJ Trach from Latham & Watkins.
