Rear Admiral Sreenivas Takes Helm at Bondada Group
Rear Admiral R. Sreenivas, VSM (Retd), has been appointed as the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Bondada Group, a leading provider of integrated infrastructure solutions. His new role focuses on driving the expansion of the company's domestic footprint and enhancing its global presence in infrastructure development.
With over 35 years of leadership experience from the Indian Navy and the corporate sector, Rear Admiral Sreenivas brings a wealth of expertise to Bondada Group. He has a proven track record in operations, administration, large-scale project management, capital acquisitions, and driving initiatives in self-reliance.
In his previous roles, Rear Admiral Sreenivas served in leading advisory roles with the Ministry of Defence, Hindustan Shipyard Ltd., and Larsen & Toubro's Precision Engineering Systems Division after his superannuation in 2022. Notably, he played a significant role in shaping the Defence Acquisition Procedure 2020 and spearheaded record-breaking defence acquisition programmes worth over ₹1.8 lakh crore.
Under his leadership, Bondada Group aims to expand its domestic footprint while scaling its global presence in infrastructure development. One of the key projects the company is actively pursuing is a ₹9,000 crore solar power project in Andhra Pradesh, which has boosted its order book to over ₹14,000 crore. The group is also engaged in collaborations aimed at delivering innovative and purpose-driven infrastructure solutions swiftly, aligned with ambitious capacity goals like reaching 10 GW of solar power by 2030.

As a highly decorated naval veteran and recipient of the Vishisht Seva Medal, Rear Admiral Sreenivas's leadership has been evident in his transformative work. He successfully transformed the naval ship repair yard, Sri Vijaya Puram, into the best-performing repair yard amongst the navy's five ship repair yards. He also led refit/ modernisation programmes of over half of the Navy's ships and submarines in a senior leadership role.
With Rear Admiral Sreenivas at the helm, Bondada Group is poised for significant growth and expansion in the coming years. His leadership will undoubtedly propel the company towards its goal of becoming a global leader in sustainable infrastructure.
