Venture Capital Firm Alumni Ventures Joins SEI's Access Platform

Alumni Ventures (AV) has partnered with SEI Access, an end-to-end digital marketplace for alternative investments, to provide Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and fiduciaries with streamlined access to a diversified venture-capital portfolio. This partnership broadens the investment options available for eligible RIAs, offering them a simplified way to incorporate venture capital allocations into client portfolios.

Simplified Access to Venture Capital

By partnering with SEI Access, RIAs can now access venture capital investments without needing to build internal deal-sourcing infrastructures. This collaboration provides a seamless process, combining electronic subscription documents, custodial forms, and e-signature capabilities into a single workflow, enhancing operational efficiency and offering a public-markets-style experience for private-markets investing.

Diversification and Professional Management

Alumni Ventures brings a diversified portfolio curated by one of the most active VC firms in the U.S., expanding advisors' ability to offer innovation-driven growth strategies to clients. The fund reflects AV's strategy of assembling a diversified portfolio of companies across sectors such as AI, fintech, health tech, and deep tech through co-investments alongside large, well-known VCs like Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia, and General Catalyst.

Expanded Choices on the Platform

With the addition of Alumni Ventures, SEI Access now hosts 18 fund managers, including major industry leaders such as BlackRock, Hamilton Lane, and KKR. This collaboration enhances the platform’s breadth and depth, offering a wider range of investment options to RIAs and their clients.

A Mission Aligned

This partnership aligns with Alumni Ventures’ mission "to democratize venture investing for a broader range of investors" and supports RIAs by providing a transparent, simple on-ramp to a high-growth asset class, thus helping advisors better serve their clients’ alternative investment needs.

Since inception, SEI Access has processed more than 23,500 subscriptions and $5.1 billion in alternative-investment transactions, as of June 30, 2025. The platform's growth and the addition of Alumni Ventures further solidify its position as a leading digital marketplace for alternative investments.

Mike Collins, Chief Executive Officer of Alumni Ventures, stated that the partnership with SEI Access will make it simple for RIAs to incorporate a venture capital allocation into portfolios. Kevin Crowe, Senior Vice President and Head of SEI Access, stated that AV's addition strengthens the breadth and depth of venture-capital solutions available on SEI Access.

With this partnership, both Alumni Ventures and SEI Access continue to push the boundaries of making alternative investments more accessible and efficient for RIAs and their clients.

By partnering with SEI Access, RIAs can now tap into the venture capital ecosystem without having to establish internal deal-sourcing infrastructures (fintech, business). This collaboration offers a streamlined, public-markets-style experience for private-markets investing, as it combines various documents and processes into a single workflow (investing, finance).
