"Velbert-Neviges station is currently home to the 'Streifwagen'"
The Mettmann District Police are making a concerted effort to connect with citizens and provide helpful advice through various channels. One such initiative is the 'STRIPED CAR,' a mobile information booth where officers are on hand to answer everyday questions and offer prevention tips in a low-threshold manner.
District Duty Officer Police Commissioner Birgit Winzer and Police Commissioner Nicole Rehmann from recruitment will both be present at the 'STRIPED CAR' in Velbert-Neviges on April 24, 2025. Commissioner Winzer is open to questions about senior safety, general questions, and providing advice on specific concerns. Meanwhile, Commissioner Rehmann is looking forward to meeting students who want to learn about the police profession during the Easter holidays.
The 'STRIPED CAR' has been touring the district, and on April 24, it will be parked on the weekly market opposite Sparkasse in Velbert-Neviges.
In addition to the 'STRIPED CAR,' the Mettmann District Police have established a presence on various digital platforms.
