UREGNI Launches Offshore Grid Connection Consultation

UREGNI has launched a consultation on offshore generator connection methodology, seeking views and comments. The deadline for responses is 5.00pm on Thursday 30 May 2013.

The consultation, which covers the first offshore leasing round by the Crown Estate, aims to gather feedback on the proposed methodology for connecting offshore generators to the UK's energy grid. Key players in this process include Equinor and Gwynt Glas, companies that have developed offshore generators and received leases in the first offshore leasing round. The task of coordinating these connections is handled through a plan agreed with the National Energy System Operator.

UREGNI invites stakeholders to contribute to this consultation, with responses due by 5.00pm on Thursday 30 May 2013. The feedback will help shape the offshore generator connection methodology, ensuring efficient integration with the UK's energy grid.
