**Liberty Global Transaction Solutions Appoints New Regional Leaders**
Liberty Global Transaction Solutions (Liberty GTS), a division of Liberty Mutual Insurance, has announced the appointment of Nick Lunn as the Head of the UK, Central Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa, and Barbara Magni as the Head of Southern Europe.
Nick Lunn, a seasoned professional with over 20 years of legal and underwriting experience in transactional risk, will oversee the growth of a significant multi-region portfolio. In his new role, Lunn will provide strategic underwriting and risk advisory services for complex, high-value, multi-jurisdictional M&A transactions. Lunn joined Liberty GTS in 2020 and previously served as Head of Southern Europe. Prior to his tenure at Liberty GTS, he held positions at Willis Towers Watson and Dentons, a global law firm.
Barbara Magni, who has been with Liberty GTS since 2016, will lead the Southern Europe division, based in Milan, Italy. Magni, a dual-qualified M&A lawyer, started as a Senior M&A Underwriter and most recently served as Underwriting Manager for Southern Europe before her current appointment. She has extensive experience at Clyde & Co and a leading Italian law firm.
Both Lunn and Magni will report to Markus Messinger, Head of EMEA at Liberty GTS. Messinger expressed that the appointments reflect the strength of Liberty GTS' home-grown talent and will provide consistent support to clients and broker partners across the specified regions.
Liberty GTS is also expanding its presence in Italy, Spain, and France to better serve the warranty & indemnity insurance markets in these countries. The company's capacity for the 2022 underwriting year will remain unchanged at USD $200 million per risk for transactional risk protection for all product lines: Warranty & Indemnity/Representations & Warranties, Tax Liability, and Contingent.
Malcolm Beane, who has held leadership positions at JP Morgan, Brit Insurance, the LMA, and served as a Non-Executive Director on various organizations, including Hamilton Underwriting and TBH, has joined r10 as the Chair of the Advisory Board.
