The Cebu Port Authority (CPA) has kicked off a new era for its shuttle bus services, making travel easier and safer for passengers navigating the terminal and boarding their ships. starting from Pier 1 and Pier 3, this modern service was inaugurated on May 1, 2025, according to CPA Public Information Officer, Maryknoll Bolasa.

Speaking in an interview, Bolasa emphasized that this move is in line with CPA's commitment to improving port services and ensuring the safety of all users. "We're always striving to provide top-notch services to our passengers," she said.

This new phase marks the completion of the shuttle service contract, which began back in April 2025 after the addition of 13 bus units to their fleet.

"We've conducted a thorough bidding process for the new contract, and its effectiveness took off on May 1, 2025," Bolasa added.

The new contract was granted to Durabuilt Motors Inc., with an original contract duration of one year but with options to renew for up to two more years, subject to certain conditions.

Back in 2025, 15 buses already operated within the CPA, offering free service to passengers. CDF

This newest development comes as part of the CPA's ongoing efforts to enhance its infrastructure and services, particularly during peak travel seasons like Holy Week[2].

The CPA's latest initiatives extended to the Cebu transportation sector, with Durabuilt Motors Inc. renewing the shuttle service contract for Pier 1 and Pier 3, initially for one year with potential extensions of two more years.
