UK Government Unveils Grants to Help Businesses Go Green in 2024
The UK government has opened several funding schemes to help businesses reduce their environmental impact and transition to cleaner energy. Geo Green Power, renewable energy experts, have highlighted these grants for 2024.
The Industrial Energy Transformation Fund is now accepting applications, offering grants of up to £6 million. This fund targets businesses in sectors like manufacturing, recycling, and industrial laundries.
Other schemes include the Net Zero Grant Programme, Peak Innovation SME Innovation Grant, and the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) 2024. These are available alongside a new net zero funding initiative aimed at helping businesses adopt energy-efficient measures and switch to clean energy sources.
James Cunningham, Managing Director of Geo Green Power, stresses that these grants can overcome the initial cost barrier, which has previously deterred many UK SMEs from investing in green energy solutions.
With these grants, businesses can minimize their environmental footprint, reduce energy bills, and advance towards net zero goals. Applications are open, and businesses are encouraged to explore these opportunities to transition to renewable energy.
