Striding forward with a jaw-dropping $375 million contract, Transdev U.S. is ready to take control of Phoenix's public transit services starting mid-2025. This five-year agreement, with the option for an additional two-year extension, sets the stage for Transdev to manage over 530 employees and a fleet of approximately 160 vehicles.

The contract kicks off July 1, 2025. Emphasis is placed on environmental sustainability, with the fleet primarily powered by alternative and hybrid buses, such as those running on compressed natural gas (CNG). For the city's ambitious green initiatives, Transdev has vowed to assist in acquiring more low-emission or zero-emission vehicles.

Transdev U.S. is no stranger to Phoenix, previously running the city's north and south public transportation services, Skymall shopping shuttles, and operations at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
