Revamped Raimbek Prospekt: A Breath of Fresh Air in Almaty!
Get ready for some major changes on Raimbek Prospekt in Almaty, all tucked away in the Auezov District! Here's the lowdown on what's cooking, straight from the city administration, reported by Liter.kz.
From BC Aspara and BC Zeinet's parking lot to Raimbek Prospekt 451A:
We're kicking off the process by tearing up the old asphalt on the BC Aspara and BC Zeinet parking lot – a whopping 1,500 square meters!
Following that, we're demolishing and installing granite curbs - approximately 500 and 400 linear meters, respectively.
...and more ground-breaking projects in the works! Look out for updates on installation, removal, and clearing of vegetation, plus the installation of curbs and cobblestone bases – all set to take place between May 5th and 12th.
Oh, don't forget! These changes aren't just for show—they're here to pave the way for pedestrian zones, bike lanes, and greenery!
Moving on, let's head to the alley of Bulvar Raimbek Batyr, where we'll install shiny, new granite curbs and curbs – a grand total of 700 linear meters! We'll also be preparing the base for cobblestones – covering 1,300 square meters.
Onto the bridge of R. Baikeyeva Street, where we'll rip out and install concrete curbs and curbs – a whopping 1,500 linear meters, followed by the removal of toppings and demolition of granite curbs – 180 linear meters. Get your routes planned out in advance, as there might be minor disruptions during the reconstruction period from May 5th to 11th.
And finally, from Bayzakova Street to Galilea Street, we're embarking on the installation of curbs, vegetation removal, and base preparation for cobblestone paving. Work kicks off on May 5th and continues through May 12th.
So, what's the deal with all this reconstruction? Simple! We're turning Raimbek Prospekt into vibrant, people-centered spaces that connect major destinations and facilitate pedestrian zones, bike lanes, and greenery. Let's face it—we're prioritizing our pedestrians, ensuring safety and accessibility for all, especially children and folks with disabilities. Plus, we want to hook up pedestrian zones with main parking and garage areas, and create cozy seating areas with a pleasant microclimate.
We're not messing around here: we'll modernize all pedestrian crossings, preserve and develop green spaces, and ensure minimal street and sidewalk height differences. The goal is to make Raimbek Prospekt a central hub for city cultural events, community engagements, and social interactions.
Now, you may have heard about some potential environmental, social, and economic benefits associated with urban development projects like this one – and you'd be right! Improved infrastructure, increased greenery, enhanced pedestrian-friendliness, and community engagement can lead to improved air quality, affordable housing, and boosted local businesses. Not a bad deal, eh?
Stay tuned for further updates on the Raimbek Prospekt transformation! Remember to plan your routes in advance, and pack your patience – we're all in this together! 🚧🌳⚙️✨😊🚶♂️🚲🌟
