Top Luxury Auto Ads Dominate TV Screens

In the week of August 28 to September 3, Genesis and Lexus continued to shine as top performers in the luxury auto TV commercial rankings, according to data provided by iSpot, The New Standard for TV Ad Measurement.

The Genesis commercial "Freakier Friday" accounted for a significant 61% of its total impressions on primetime TV, amassing 84.8 million national TV ad impressions. The ad, featuring characters as its standout element according to iSpot's Creative Assessment, also aired during popular programming such as America's Got Talent, ABC's Celebrity Family Feud, and Bachelor in Paradise.

Lexus also made a strong showing, with two commercials, "Dogs" and "Moodshift," landing in the top five. "Dogs" garnered 48,128,271 TV impressions, while "Moodshift" followed closely behind with 47,761,303 impressions. The Attention Index for both Lexus ads was impressive, with "Moodshift" scoring 93 and "Dogs" at 90, indicating strong viewer engagement.

Lexus's "Moodshift" also had an estimated national TV ad spend of $218,593, and "Dogs" $223,054. The latter ad aired during Family Guy, SportsCenter, and Fox News' Special Report With Bret Baier, among other top programs.

Interestingly, Genesis's second commercial, promoting the Summer Signature Event, had 64.2 million national TV ad impressions and aired on programming such as the MLB, CBS' Tracker, Discovery's Deadliest Catch, and the WNBA.

Audi's commercial for the '25 Q6 e-tron also made an appearance, with 56.6 million national TV ad impressions, airing on CBS News Sunday Morning, Fútbol Leagues Cup, and NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

Despite the absence of precise iSpot rankings for luxury autos by program from August 28 to September 3, it is clear that Genesis and Lexus continue to be among the top luxury auto advertisers on TV. Exact top programs featuring these luxury ads for the specified week would likely include major sports and morning shows, similar to prior patterns observed in non-luxury categories but refined for luxury buyers’ audiences.

For those seeking exact program-level rankings for these luxury ads in that week, consulting iSpot’s official release or subscription service after the date would be necessary.

The finance and transportation sectors largely dominated the week's TV commercial space, with the automotive industry taking a significant portion of it. In particular, Genesis and Lexus continued to be top players in luxury auto TV advertising, showcasing their industry presence.
