Revitalized Identity: A Fresh Beginning for Haworth Lifestyle
Subsidiary Companies under Lifestyle Design undergo rebranding as Via for organizational restructuring.
It's more than just a name change - Haworth Lifestyle shifts into a restructured powerhouse! Dario Rinero, CEO of this division, which is part of the American furniture empire Haworth, made the major announcement yesterday. The companies within the lifestyle group's control span across furniture design, including Poltrona Frau, Cassina, Cappellini, and Zanotta.
Embracing Restructuring for Progress
The transformative move to restructure stems from a larger shift within the US parent company. The company has recently undergone a name change to Haworth Group and has been reorganized into two main divisions: Commercial, operating in the office sector, lead by the Americans, and Lifestyle, based in Italy. The Lifestyle division now encompasses ten companies and 16 brands across four sectors - manufacturing, licenses, retail, and industrial. Rinero elucidated, "We've streamlined our holding company, not solely for efficiency, but to pave the way for further growth. We're on the verge of reaching €1 billion in turnover and want to be prepared for the next phase. We've created divisions within our company that serve as avenues for future acquisitions."
Divisions Shaping the Future
The rebirth welcomes the addition of the Luxury, Design, Industrial, and Retail divisions. Nicola Coropulis, CEO of Poltrona Frau and Ceccotti, heads the Luxury division. Luca Fuso, CEO of Cassina, Zanotta, and Cappellini, steers the Design division. Ervino Riccobon, with Poltrona Frau Interiors in Motion and KJR under his belt, governs the Industrial division. Stefano Cazzaniga leads the retail division, encompassing Luminaire for the American market and Interni for Europe and the Middle East. Next steps for the outdoor sector could include establishing it as a separate division, should acquisitions in the area be made in the near future. Andrea Gentilini of Luxury Living Group maintains control over the licensing sector.
The Journey to Redefinition
Tracing the journey that led to this recent restructure, it all began in 2002 with the creation of Poltrona Frau Group, the initial cluster of Italian high-end design brands. In 2006, the group went public and in 2014, ownership (Charme) sold the majority to the American group Haworth, completing the delisting process. Since then, numerous acquisitions of Italian and foreign brands in various sectors, including Janus et Cie, Luminaire, Ceccotti, and Karakter, have expanded the portfolio, ultimately leading to the formation of the refined divisions within Haworth Lifestyle.

In the pursuit of further growth and€1 billion in turnover, Haworth Lifestyle, led by Dario Rinero, has created new divisions - Luxury, Design, Industrial, and Retail - aiming to shape the future of the business and facilitate potential acquisitions in these sectors. Meanwhile, other divisions like the outdoor sector might also be established independently, should suitable acquisitions occur.
