Stock Ownership Benefits: Exclusive Perks You Unlock with These Shares
Investing Gets a Little Sweeter: Top Companies Offer Perks to Shareholders
Investing in the stock market can be an exciting endeavour, but it's not always a walk in the park. However, some companies are making the journey more enjoyable by offering perks to their shareholders. Here's a roundup of some of the popular investor benefits being offered by well-known firms.
AMC Entertainment Holdings (AMC) and Carnival (CCL) are among the companies that provide free investor perks, such as priority lane access, discounted products, and onboard credits for shareholders. If you're planning a cruise with Carnival, you can apply for the shareholder benefits at least three weeks before departure through Carnival's Stockperks app. Royal Caribbean Cruises (RCL) also offers onboard credits to investors who own at least 100 shares at the time of their sailing. The amount of credit depends on the length of the sailing, and it's important to note that RCL's onboard credits are available on any eligible Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, or Silversea Cruises, but excludes charter and Galapagos sailings.
U.K.-based Bloomsbury Publishing offers a 35% discount on its print titles to shareholders who sign up through the Investor site. LVMH Moët Hennessy (LVMUY) offers membership in the LVMH Shareholders' Club, which includes perks such as deals on select wines and spirits, discounted subscriptions to its newspapers and magazines, and access to company wineries and cellars.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) offers shareholders discounts on their stay at hotels such as Regent, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, and Holiday Inn. Kimberly-Clark (KMB) is known for giving shareholders holiday gift boxes, although the 2025 gift box availability has yet to be announced.
AMC Entertainment Holdings (AMC) also offers free gourmet popcorn to investors who joined AMC Investor Connect by August 31, 2025, which is available until September 30, 2025. Lindt & Sprüngli rewards investors with gift boxes, but to receive the 2025 gift box, investors must attend the annual shareholders meeting in Zurich, Switzerland, or appoint a power of attorney and have a Swiss mailing address.
Robinhood Markets (HOOD) offers a free stock to new customers who sign up for a taxable, self-directed individual account. The value of the free stock offered by Robinhood Markets ranges from $5 to $200.
It's important to remember that while these perks can make investing more enjoyable, they should not dictate your investment decisions. A company should earn its place in your portfolio based on its financial health and growth potential. So, while a free gift box or discounted hotel stay might be tempting, it's crucial to do your due diligence and invest wisely.
