Samsung & Coinbase Expand Crypto Trading to Global Users
Samsung and Coinbase have announced an expansion of their collaboration, initially available in the US, with plans to roll out to other countries in the coming months. The partnership allows Samsung device owners to buy and sell cryptocurrency directly from their phones.
Currently, over 75 million U.S. Galaxy device owners can access Coinbase through Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay. To celebrate the launch, new traders receive a $25 credit after their first Coinbase transaction through Samsung Wallet. Additionally, Samsung Wallet users get a free 3-month Coinbase One subscription, offering zero trading fees, enhanced staking rewards, and exclusive partner offers.
The integration of Coinbase within Samsung's wallet app is part of Samsung's ongoing effort to improve its crypto functionality. Coinbase was chosen as the ideal partner due to its leading position in the crypto industry. Following the news, Coinbase's stock price rose by over 1%, and Bitcoin reached a price of over $121,000.
Samsung and Coinbase are set to expand their collaboration internationally in the coming months, bringing crypto trading to Samsung device owners worldwide. The partnership has already proven successful in the US, with over 75 million potential users and positive market reactions.
