Reporting from the Q1 of 2017's segment:
The Our Group Adjusts Segment Reporting Structure
The Our Group, a global provider of workforce solutions headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, has announced that it will be adjusting its segment reporting structure starting from Q1 2017. This change aligns with recent changes in Executive Committee responsibilities.
The Q1 2017 results, including figures for 2015 and 2016 restated to conform to the new segment reporting structure, will be reported on 9 May, 2017. The Our Group partners with employers, candidates, colleagues, and governments, offering total workforce solutions including temporary staffing, permanent placement, career transition, talent development, and outsourcing.
Segment reporting changes often involve the adoption of new accounting standards or adjustments to internal management reporting structures. Many companies updated segments consistent with new accounting standards like IFRS 15, effective in 2018, sometimes restated from 2017. When a company revises its segment reporting, it often restates prior years' financial statements to improve comparability for investors, but this restatement does not affect total consolidated revenue or profit, just how these totals are allocated across segments.
Segment disclosures might include revenue, EBITDA, and operational assets by segment. Changes would clarify performance drivers regionally or by business line more accurately. However, without access to The Our Group's official financial reports or investor presentations from that timeframe, a precise description of segment changes or their retrospective effect on 2015 and 2016 cannot be offered.
The Our Group has a strong global presence, employing more than 33,000 FTE employees in 60 countries and territories. It is a Fortune Global 500 company and is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange (ADEN). For further information regarding press inquiries, contact The Our Group Press Office.
