Reinforcement of Creative Direction at Publicis Groupe Hong Kong Through Strategic Promotions and New Staff Recruitments
Publicis Groupe Hong Kong has bolstered its creative team with the addition of several senior professionals. João Braga, the Global Executive Creative Director at Publicis Groupe Hong Kong, has expressed his excitement about the new recruits.
João Braga, in a statement, praised the talent and niceness of the new additions, which include Soenar Santoso, Kawa Wong, Ethan Chu, and Bernice Chin. Soenar Santoso, a Creative Director with 12 years of experience from Indonesia, previously worked with Ogilvy Hong Kong. Kawa Wong has joined as Associate Creative Director, having entered the industry in 2020 and representing Hong Kong at the Cannes Young Lions in 2023. Bernice Chin, a seasoned copywriter, returns to Hong Kong from Chicago with expertise in social media strategy, trend analysis, digital marketing, and a flair for product collaborations and culture-driven ideas. Ethan Chu brings a background in film and philosophy and is known for delivering meaningful, thought-provoking campaigns for international brands.
In addition to these new hires, Publicis Groupe Hong Kong has also promoted Halo Cheng to the role of Executive Creative Director. Halo Cheng began her career as a copywriter at Leo Burnett Hong Kong in 2004 and has since crafted high-impact campaigns for global brands. Her work has been recognised early in her career with a Gold award at the Kam Fan Awards.
Halo Cheng's expanded role is complemented by the appointment of Stratos Efstathiou as Head of Art at Publicis Groupe Hong Kong. Stratos Efstathiou, an award-winning art director, has had his work recognised at major industry platforms such as Cannes Lions, D&AD, Spikes Asia, and the Clio Awards.
Christopher Lee continues to lead as the Chief Creative Officer at Publicis Groupe Hong Kong. With the expanded roles of Halo Cheng and Stratos Efstathiou, and the addition of Soenar Santoso, Kawa Wong, Ethan Chu, and Bernice Chin, Publicis Groupe Hong Kong is now ready to elevate its craft and push the boundaries of its creative offering.
