Haj pilgrims savor Malaysian flavors in the Holy Land 🚀

🎉 Malaysian Haj Delegation head Mohd Hisham Harun assures that during the 2025 Haj season, nearly two million lunch and dinner packs handed out to pilgrims in Madinah and Makkah will retain an impressive 80% of the familiar taste of Malaysian cuisine, with a variety of 42 different menu options. 🍴

🌺 Mohd Hisham emphasized the importance of catering to pilgrims' well-being, safety, and satisfaction by preparing meals that cater to Malaysian tastes while maintaining high nutritional standards. 🥦

🌐 TH works closely with the Ministry of Health and dietitians to research and review each dish, ensuring it meets the nutritional needs of pilgrims. The menu rotates once in Madinah and twice in Makkah during the first and second weeks before being repeated. 🕙

👩‍🍳 To preserve the authentic taste of the Malaysian dishes, TH brings in special premixes like kurma and sambal paste from Malaysia, and uses basmati rice from India and halal-guaranteed meat from Brazil. 🍚 🍔

📈 During the peak of the Haj season, with around 31,600 pilgrims in Makkah, the raw materials used for one meal include 3.16 tonnes of rice, 4.74 tonnes of protein, and 2.52 tonnes of vegetables. ⚖️

🔔 To maintain the taste and quality of the meals, TH monitors kitchen operations and hygiene standards to comply with Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health regulations. Additionally, pilgrims can rest assured that the food served to them is under continuous inspection by the Saudi Arabian authorities. 👨‍⚕️

🌟 Mahadzir Md Yusuf, a 59-year-old pilgrim, appreciated TH's food service and hygiene measures, expressing satisfaction with the arrangement. For pilgrims eager to partake in authentic Malaysian cuisine during their journey, TH ensures a taste of home in the Holy Land. 🇲🇾
