QuantumScape & Corning Team Up for Solid-State Battery Separators

QuantumScape Corporation and Corning Incorporated have joined forces to develop ceramic separator manufacturing for QuantumScape's solid-state batteries. The collaboration brings together expertise in materials science and manufacturing.

Dr. Siva Sivaram, CEO of QuantumScape, welcomed Corning's involvement, citing their excellence in ceramics manufacturing. The agreement unites both companies' strengths, aiming to advance battery technology.

Ron Verkleeren, Senior Vice President of Corning's Emerging Innovations Group, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration. The goal is to reach high-volume production of QuantumScape's ceramic separators, paving the way for commercial applications.

QuantumScape and Corning have partnered to manufacture ceramic separators for QuantumScape's solid-state batteries. The collaboration combines their respective strengths and targets high-volume production for commercial use.
