A ray of hope for the insolvent machine manufacturer Samag in Saalfeld— Austrian entrepreneur Wei Wang will be the new owner! Per insolvency administrator Marcello Di Stefano's announcement, the contracts have been signed, and around 50 of the current 90 employees are set to continue with the business. The takeover is scheduled for early October.

Insolvency background
The management of Samag filed for insolvency at the end of January 2025 due to heavy order backlogs. Despite the threat of a temporary shutdown at the insolvency opening on May 1, business operations were saved through an agreement with the main customer.
