Unleashing Froo's Romanian surge: A rapid, localized expansion game-changer

Froo, crafted by the Żabka Group, has dice-rolled its way into the Romanian market, striking gold with 100 stores in just a year's time since its entry. This speedy growth spree reflects the group's aggression in conquering urban and residential areas across major cities, like Bucharest, Pitești, and Constanța.

Consistently averaging a new location every three days, Froo barrels forward with a retail strategy centering on proximity convenience stores. The retail marvel boasts an immaculate mix of necessities, ready-to-eat grub, and refreshing beverages, including java and steaming comfort foods via its in-house Froo Bistro.

Froo's business plan revolves around a partnership-driven approach, enabling individuals to run their very own Froo stores whilst benefiting from Żabka's unwavering support. Froo also extends a helping hand to existing independent retailers, who can convert their shops into Froo-branded outposts, snatching up the brand's operational model, logistics, and branding.

Anna Grabowska, EVP Żabka Polska, Managing Director at Żabka International, declares: "We've hit 100 stores after only a year! This monumental feat reflects our unyielding ambition and the unwavering dedication of our stellar Romania and Poland teams. We're hugely grateful to our partners, suppliers, and stakeholders who share our vision and join us on this incredible journey. We know we’re only getting started."

Sourcing roughly 80% of their wares from Romanian brands, Froo stores proactively collaborate with local suppliers. Additional items come from international and Polish vendors. Since its launch, Froo has peddled over one million hot dogs and an impressive 600,000 cups of coffee.
