Users of Quidco are irate over the underhanded elimination of a significant advantage, leading to widespread anger among thousands of customers. Similar platforms, such as Quidco, have come under fire for this deceptive practice.

Online cashback platform surreptitiously eliminates significant benefit for thousands of users, sparking widespread anger among customers.

Thousands of Quidco customers express anger over the removal of a key cashback perk, leaving them disgruntled.

Online cashback platforms, like Quidco, reward users with a percentage of the cost of their online purchases. These cashback offers are often utilized by retailers to attract customers and keep them loyal.

Until this month, Quidco offered a "Highest Cashback Guarantee," which promised to match or exceed any competing cashback rates from other UK-based platforms. This guarantee was particularly advantageous for customers as it not only matched the highest rate available but added an additional percentage on top, ensuring the customer received the maximum cashback possible.

For example, if a Premium member found a competitor offering a 15% cashback rate on a purchase, while Quidco offered 10%, the difference (5%) would be doubled, resulting in a total cashback rate of 20% from Quidco. This additional cashback was particularly beneficial when making large purchases.

To claim the difference, users were required to submit a form within 72 hours of making the purchase and provide a dated screenshot showing the competitor's rate.

Recently, Quidco users have found that any mention of the guarantee and the claim form has disappeared from its website, leading to frustration among the customer base. One user shared their thoughts on the issue on HotUKdeals.com, stating, "It appears Quidco have sneakily removed the 'Highest Cashback Guarantee' and the double the difference for Premium members...I think they're very dishonest since as far as I know they have not notified me of this fact even though it is a significant change in their terms."

Another user echoed these sentiments on Reddit.com, stating, "It's been removed completely...Like it never existed...I have paid premium too, not worth it imo."

In response to the concerns raised by its customers, Quidco confirmed that they had indeed removed the cashback guarantee and introduced new rewards to enhance their services. They stated, "We regularly check to make sure we're giving Quidco members the best possible value...We value the feedback from our members, which plays a vital role in helping us improve our offers and products."

While Quidco's Premium service still offers higher cashback rates and bigger payout bonuses, concerns remain about the removal of the guarantee and the lack of communication from the company. It is recommended that users check the terms and conditions on Quidco's website for more information about the changes.

Meanwhile, customers are also keeping a close eye on the cashback schemes offered by other providers, such as Santander, which recently announced it would no longer offer 1% cashback on certain spending from September 9, due to increased costs[1].

For shoppers looking for alternative cashback options, there are several retailers listed on Quidco, including ao.com, Appliance City, and Curry's PC World[1]. In addition, Topcashback, Quidco, Kid Start, and Rakuten are among the popular cashback websites available to customers.
