Oddo BHF Expands Reach with Acquisition of Métropole Gestion
Oddo BHF Asset Management is set to expand its reach and product offerings with the acquisition of French asset manager Métropole Gestion. The deal, which is subject to French financial regulators' approval, will provide Oddo with access to UK and overseas markets through Métropole's established channels.
Oddo BHF's CEO, Nicolas Chaput, sees the merger as a strategic move to broaden the group's product range and better meet client expectations. Following the acquisition, institutional investors and asset managers will be able to purchase Métropole's value-investment funds through Oddo's extensive European distribution network.
Métropole Gestion, known for its expertise in value investing honed over two decades, will continue its sustainable investment strategy under the Oddo banner. The fund management team, led by Isabel Levy and Ingrid Trawinski, will remain in place to ensure a smooth transition.
Oddo BHF is also looking to strengthen its wealth management business in Germany. While additional advisors have not been named, the group is actively seeking further expertise in this area.
The acquisition of Métropole Gestion by Oddo BHF Asset Management is expected to bring significant benefits to both parties. Oddo gains access to new markets and a respected value-investment strategy, while Métropole's clients and fund management team can look forward to continued success under the Oddo umbrella. The deal, once approved by French regulators, will further solidify Oddo's position in the European asset management landscape.
