April saw a whopping 602,000 trips across the state, a figure nearly double the number from the previous year and a 13.6% increase from the previous month.

The fare is calculated based on the straight-line distance, capped at 58 euros per month, equivalent to the cost of the Germany Ticket.
"eezy.nrw" and the Germany Ticket - a pair of travel revolutions in NRW, according to Transport Minister Oliver Krischer (Greens). It's unique across Germany, offering a flexible, distance-based fare for large-area travel, developed in collaboration with transport associations and fare communities with financial support from the transport ministry.
The fare? It's automatically calculated through the respective app, incurring a base price between 1.49 and 1.84 euros plus the straight-line kilometers traveled (€0.23 - €0.29 per kilometer). Once the total hits €58, all further trips in NRW for the same calendar month are free.
The traditional tariff system, based on zones and fixed routes, pales in comparison, while the Germany Ticket - although affordable - is a more nationwide solution. "eezy.nrw" caters to regional travel in NRW, offering a more cost-effective option for short or occasional trips.
