Mondelez Launches Larger Milka Chocolate Bars

Mondelez International, the global confectionery and food corporation, has unveiled a new size for Milka chocolate, dubbed "Milka Extra," aimed at consumers seeking slightly more. The new bar weighs 190 grams and will be sold in five varieties.

The spokesperson for Mondelez confirmed the introduction of "Milka Extra" in a report by Lebensmittelzeitung. According to the spokesperson, this new offering serves a unique occasion beyond that of the classic small or large bars. Delivery of "Milka Extra" bars to retailers commenced this week, with a media campaign slated to launch next week.

Earlier this year, Mondelez reduced the weight of some Milka bar varieties due to rising cocoa prices and increased costs related to energy, packaging, and transport. As a result, some supermarkets started selling the classic-sized bars for 1.99 euros, up from the previous 1.49 euros.

While the specific varieties of "Milka Extra" have yet to be detailed, there is no confirmed release date for the new product as of mid-May 2025. Information regarding the new Milka product's launch and available varieties can be found in official Mondelez International or retailer announcements.

The introduction of the new Milka Extra chocolate bars by Mondelez International could potentially influence their community policy and employment policy, as the company might need to adapt to increased production demands.

In terms of finance, the revenues from Milka Extra, if successful, could significantly contribute to Mondelez's corporate earnings, possibly impacting their overall business strategy and lifestyle choices, such as investments in food-and-drink sector.
