Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading Indian automobile manufacturer, has recently introduced the Pack Two variants of its popular electric SUV models, the XEV 9e and BE 6. These vehicles share similar key specifications, advanced design features, and comprehensive safety systems, with nuances particular to each model.

Key Specifications

Both models offer two battery pack options: a 59 kWh and a 79 kWh battery. The electric motor, a Single Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with rear-wheel drive (RWD), delivers power output ranging from 228-231 bhp for the 59 kWh to 286 PS for the 79 kWh battery pack. Torque remains consistent at 380 Nm across both battery versions.

The XEV 9e Pack Two boasts a triple 12.3-inch widescreen digital display setup, including driver display, infotainment, and passenger entertainment screens. The BE 6 Pack Two, on the other hand, features a race-ready digital cockpit. Both vehicles are equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 16-speaker premium Harman Kardon system with Dolby Atmos support.

The XEV 9e Pack Two offers city ranges of 542 km with the 59 kWh battery and 656 km with the 79 kWh battery. The BE 6 Pack Two delivers real-world city ranges of approximately 400 km (59 kWh) and 500 km (79 kWh). AC charging times range from 6 to 8.7 hours depending on the charger, with fast charging capability of 20 minutes using a 140 kW DC fast charger.

Design Features

Both vehicles come with a full glass roof, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, wireless phone charging, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering, and an auto-dimming interior rear-view mirror (IRVM). The BE 6 Pack Two includes premium sage leatherette interiors and an ivory roof finish for a more upscale feel.

Safety Features

Both vehicles comply with Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) norms and are equipped with 6 airbags (driver, passenger, side, and curtain), advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) with Level 2 ADAS capabilities, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, a rear parking camera, electronic parking brake, rain-sensing wipers, a rear defogger, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ISOFIX child seat anchorages, and more.

Exclusions (Reserved for Higher Variants)

Ventilated front seats, a rear wireless phone charger, a powered tailgate with gesture control, a rear window sunshade, one-touch up/down driver window, air purifier, 360-degree camera, auto park assist, and an augmented reality (AR)-based head-up display are features reserved for the higher variants.

Pricing and Availability

The Mahindra BE 6 Pack Two is priced at approximately ₹21.90 lakh (59 kWh) and ₹23.50 lakh (79 kWh), while the XEV 9e Pack Two is priced at approximately ₹24.90 lakh (59 kWh) and ₹26.50 lakh (79 kWh) (all prices are ex-showroom, India). Deliveries for both Pack Two variants have commenced since late July 2025.
