Lynn Good Appointed to Company Name's Board of Directors
Morgan Stanley, a leading global financial services firm listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: MS), has announced the election of Lynn Good to its Board of Directors, effective from July 18, 2025. This marks a new chapter in Good's illustrious career, which has been predominantly spent at Duke Energy and Cinergy Corporation.
Good, a distinguished executive with a strong background in financial leadership and governance, served as Chair, CEO, and President of Duke Energy from January 2016 to April 2025. Prior to that, she held the positions of Vice Chair, CEO, and President from July 2013 to December 2015. Before becoming CEO, she held several executive roles at Duke Energy, including Executive Vice President and CFO from July 2009 to June 2013.
Good's career began at Arthur Andersen in 1981, where she held positions in the audit and risk consulting practice before becoming an Audit Partner. She later moved to Deloitte & Touche LLP, where she served as an Audit Partner from 2002 to 2003. Before joining Duke Energy, Good was Vice President, Controller, and Chief Compliance Officer at Cinergy from 2003 to 2005, and Executive Vice President and CFO at Cinergy Corporation in 2006.
Ted Pick, Chairman and CEO of Morgan Stanley, expressed his enthusiasm about Good joining the Board. "Lynn brings valuable strategic and management experience to our team," he said. Pick also noted Good's thorough understanding of accounting and financial reporting matters, which will be beneficial to the firm.
Good's appointment will bring the Board of Directors of Morgan Stanley to 15 members. She will serve on the Audit Committee, further strengthening the committee's expertise in financial matters.
Ray Wilkins, Chair of the Board's Governance and Sustainability Committee, welcomed Good to the Board. "We are delighted to have Lynn join our team," he said. "Her extensive experience in the energy sector and her leadership skills will be a great asset to our organisation."
Good's leadership extends beyond utilities. She has been a member of Boeing's Board of Directors since 2015, serving as Chair of the Compensation Committee and a member of the Audit Committee.
Good holds bachelor's degrees from Miami University. Her local leadership has been recognised, with her being honoured as the 2025 Citizen of the Carolinas by the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance.
