Label services offered by IDOL to Full Time Hobby and alternative rock imprint Hassle Records
Spicing Up the Partnership
Indie heavyweights IDOL, Full Time Hobby, and Hassle Records have joined forces in a globe-trotting deal, promising a fresh surge of alternative rock sounds worldwide. This exciting alliance will see IDOL taking charge of digital distribution, marketing, and fanbase development for both labels, excluding the German, Austrian, and Swiss markets.
With a firm focus on nurturing international audiences and online communities, IDOL's marketing whizzes will be working side by side with Full Time Hobby, Hassle Records, and their artists. Analytical tools will be on standby to keep track of playlist additions and consumption, ensuring every tune gets the attention it deserves.
Come 2025, Full Time Hobby will be celebrating its 21st birthday—a creative journey that's seen them shaping the careers of artists such as Ghostwoman, Michael Nau, Squirrel Flower, The Saxophones, Casey, and more. Under this partnership, IDOL will handle new music from acts like Bananagun, Canty, Tunng, and upcoming Hassle Records musicians Brutus, Dead Pioneers, and Jools.
Roo Currier, UK general manager at IDOL, expressed delight at this artist-centered union: "Full Time Hobby and Hassle Records have always been beacons of independent values and artist-first ethos, which mirrors our beliefs at IDOL. We're excited to propel both labels into a new era of growth and expansion."
Nigel Adams, co-founder of Full Time Hobby and Hassle Records, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "With its global reach and focus on detail, IDOL is the ideal partner to help us expand our label further. We can't wait to collaborate on new releases from artists like Tunng, Canty, Dead Pioneers, Ghostwoman, and more, as we embark on our 21st anniversary together."
IDOL is also strengthening its London-based team with the appointment of Rayen Gonzalez as their DSP editorial & partnerships manager. Fresh off a stint at PIAS, Gonzalez will work under Roo Currier and Paul Pétel, helping IDOL maintain its Europe-wide expansion.
In recent months, IDOL has added prominent labels such as Berlin-based City Slang, US labels Le Plan Recordings, Old Soul Music, and Tokimonsta's Young Art Records, and Japanese imprint Schole Records to its roster. The distributor has also integrated royalty accounting software from Details and Eddy to streamline monthly sales data delivery for its clients.
Keep an eye on these vibrant labels as they embark on a new, collaborative chapter—ready to conquer the world, one melody at a time.
In this new partnership, IDOL will manage digital distribution, marketing, and fanbase development for Full Time Hobby and Hassle Records, with a focus on nurturing global audiences and online communities. This collaboration in the entertainment business is expected to boost the growth and expansion of both labels, particularly in the field of music distribution and finance.
