The automotive industry is abuzz with the launch of Kia's latest electric offerings, the EV4 and the EV4 Fastback. These compact electric vehicles boast advanced performance, technology, and design, with some shared and variant-specific features.

### Key Features and Specifications

Both the EV4 Hatchback and the EV4 Fastback are built on Kia's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) and use its 400-volt version. They are offered with two battery options: 58.3 kWh standard and 81.4 kWh long-range. The electric motor in the standard version produces 150 kW (204 PS), accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in up to 7.4 seconds, with a top speed of 170 km/h. The EV4 Fastback, especially the GT-Line variant, may feature dual motors for enhanced performance.

The EV4 has a range of up to 625 kilometers (WLTP, 17-inch wheels), while the Fastback's range is expected to be similar. Both vehicles can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in around 29-31 minutes, with a charging capacity of up to 128 kW. They support fast DC and NACS charging.

In terms of design, the EV4 Hatchback showcases aerodynamic features like active air flaps, 82% underbody coverage, and a drag coefficient of 0.27 Cd. The EV4 Fastback, designed for European customers, offers a sleek, sporty body style.

### Prices and Availability

The Kia EV4 starts at approximately £34,695 in the UK, making it Kia's longest-range electric vehicle at launch. The EV4 Fastback, available only in Earth and GT-line versions, starts at €47,140. Both models can now be ordered, with deliveries expected to begin by the end of the third quarter of 2025.

### Warranty Information

Specific warranty details vary by market, but Kia's general EV offerings typically include a battery warranty around 7-8 years / 100,000+ km and a vehicle warranty around 5 years / 60,000 miles (typical for Kia). Users should verify exact warranty terms with local dealers or official Kia documentation.

Both EV4 models come with a 7-year Kia manufacturer warranty and an 8-year battery warranty (or 160,000 km).

The EV4 is produced on the first dedicated electric vehicle production line in Korea, located in Gwangmyeong, while the sloping-roof model EV4 is manufactured in Slovakia. The EV4 Fastback is produced in Korea.

In summary, the Kia EV4 and EV4 Fastback offer modern electric drivetrain options with solid range, rapid charging capability, advanced interior tech, and practical cargo space. With competitive pricing and robust warranties, these compact electric vehicles are poised to make a significant impact in the affordable EV segment.
