Intel to Intensify Efforts in Handheld Gaming PC Market, Competition with AMD Ahead

Intel is making a significant push into the handheld gaming market, with the release of its Arrow Lake CPUs and the upcoming Panther Lake series.

The Arrow Lake CPUs, currently being added to Intel's portfolio, include variants like the Core Ultra 5 235A, designed for both desktop and mobile platforms. These new CPUs are set to release in Q3 2025, with the refresh version expected to follow in the latter half of 2025, offering up to a 10% gaming performance improvement over the original Arrow Lake chips [1][4][5].

But the real excitement lies with Panther Lake, Intel's next-generation mobile CPU series. Panther Lake chips will feature about 50% more Xe graphics cores than the preceding Lunar Lake generation, with 12 Xe3-spec cores compared to Lunar Lake's 8 Xe2 cores.
