New Market President Announced for iHeartMedia Milwaukee

In a significant move, iHeartMedia has appointed Dan Lenz as the new Market President for its Milwaukee operations, effective immediately from July 2025. Lenz, who has been with iHeartMedia since 2017, has risen through the ranks, starting as an outside sales representative and advancing to the position of Senior Vice President of Sales before his latest promotion.

Lenz's career in radio spans over three decades, with stints at Saga’s 96.5 WKLH (1990–2002), Journal Broadcast Group’s 620 WTMJ/94.5 WKTI (2004–2009), and running a recruiting firm before joining iHeartMedia.

As Market President, Lenz will oversee all operations in the Milwaukee market, including sales, programming, and partnerships. He will manage a diverse portfolio of local and national brands such as 1130 WISN (news/talk), 95.7 Big FM (classic hits), FM106.1 (country), 97.3 The Game (sports talk), FOX Sports 920, and V100.7 (hip hop/R&B). He reports directly to Nick Gnau, Division President for iHeartMedia.

Lenz's leadership is credited with strong sales performance and deep market knowledge, positioning him to advance iHeartMedia’s community support efforts and deliver business results across the cluster.

The Milwaukee/Racine market, served by iHeartMedia, is ranked as the 44th largest market by Nielsen. iHeartMedia owns and operates several radio stations in this market, including classic hits 95.7 WRIT(FM), country 106.1 WMIL(FM), R&B 100.7 WKKV(FM), news/talk 1130 WISN(AM), sports 97.3 WRNW(FM) and sports 920 WOKY(AM). The company also runs the Green Bay Packer Radio Network.

Nick Gnau, division president of iHeartMedia, acknowledged Lenz's significant contribution to the company’s success in Milwaukee/Racine. Lenz's predecessor, Jeff Tyler, who had a 47-year career in radio, retired in June.

With this appointment, iHeartMedia continues to strengthen its leadership team, ensuring continued growth and success in the Milwaukee market.

  1. In his new role as Market President, Dan Lenz will leverage his extensive radio media experience and financially successful career to oversee the business operations of iHeartMedia in Milwaukee, including sales, programming, and partnerships with local and national brands.
  2. As a seasoned professional with a three-decade-long career in the radio industry, and a proven track record of delivering business results across various stations, Dan Lenz's appointment as the Market President for iHeartMedia Milwaukee signifies the company's commitment to fostering strong careers and strategic growth in the media finance sector.
