High-performance 788 horsepower supercharged Ford Mustang model, named Dark Horse, debuts on British highways
The British luxury car dealer, Clive Sutton, has revealed an enhanced version of the Ford Mustang, based on the Dark Horse model. Named the CS800 DH, this supercharged upgrade promises a more extreme, track-capable Mustang with a focus on increased power, improved handling, and aggressive styling.
Under the hood, the CS800 DH Mustang is equipped with a 3.0-litre Whipple supercharger bolted to the Ford's 5.0-litre V8 engine. This modification boosts the power output to an impressive 587 kW (788 hp) at 6,700 rpm, and torque to a thumping 870 Nm.
The car's performance is further enhanced with an MGW short-throw racing shifter for more engaging gear shifts, a Borla ATAK quad exhaust system featuring a custom H-pipe delivering a distinctive sound, and Vossen alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres.
The CS800 DH Mustang's aerodynamics have also been significantly improved with a full carbon-fibre aero package. This includes a larger diffuser, a bespoke rear wing measuring about 1,580 mm wide, a revised bonnet, a more prominent front splitter, and extended side skirts. The result is a car that not only performs exceptionally well on the track but also boasts an aggressive and stylish appearance.
Inside, the CS800 DH features a pair of adjustable Recaro sports seats with heating and cooling functions, and the cabin is trimmed in blue Alcantara. This level of customisation is evident throughout the car, with distinct carbon-fibre additions differentiating it visually from the standard Mustang Dark Horse.
The CS800 DH Mustang adheres to Ford Performance guidelines and is covered by Ford's original three-year or 36,000-mile warranty, as well as additional coverage for modified components provided by Clive Sutton.
This impressive Mustang will make its debut at the Salon Prive car show, taking place at Blenheim Palace between 27 and 31 August 2025. Prices for the CS800 DH Mustang start from £135,000, with bespoke options potentially pushing the price towards £165,000.
