Four individuals depart from GHP, a firm based in Indonesia, to establish Corra Legal, a fresh legal entity.
Indonesia's legal landscape is set for a shake-up with the establishment of a new professional law firm, Corra Legal. The firm, launched by four prominent lawyers, has already made waves in the industry, with a focus on large-scale, complex legal restructuring and advisory work, particularly in the infrastructure and energy sectors tied to Indonesia’s renewable energy policy.
Yohanes Masengi, one of the founding partners, is recognized for his work in leading the legal restructuring of power generation assets totaling 21,352 MW across Indonesia. He advised PT PLN (Persero) on the formation of four subholdings aligned with Indonesia’s renewable energy targets and institutional reforms. Masengi, an active partner in Corra Legal, has also contributed as a speaker in legal proficiency courses for in-house lawyers.
Mohamad Kadri, another founding partner, is an award-winning lawyer who has also been active in legal education for in-house counsel. Nur Eka Pradata and Dirgantara Adi Nugroho, while less elaborated in the sources, are also identified as award-winning lawyers, collectively forming the founding team of Corra Legal.
The departure of Masengi and the other partners marked a period of shared growth at their previous firm, GHP Law Firm. In a statement, GHP Law Firm expressed support for the exiting partners and wished them well as they chart their own course. Masengi joined GHP Law Firm from Makarim & Taira S in 2021 and will remain with the firm to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities during a transition period.
Masengi's achievements have been recognised with several accolades, including being named as one of the ALB 40 Under 40 in 2021. Prior to joining GHP Law Firm, Masengi was one of the ALB Indonesia Rising Stars in 2019. Nugroho, another partner at Corra Legal, was named as one of the ALB Indonesia Rising Stars in 2025.
In 2024, Pradata was named as one of the ALB Indonesia Rising Stars, further cementing the reputation of the founding team of Corra Legal.
