Fire department in Alexandria showcased in a brief film during a national gathering
The Alexandria Fire Department's focus on firefighter health and wellness programs, as well as their commitment to service and leadership, has been spotlighted in a new documentary titled "Stronger Together: The Alexandria Fire Department Story."
The documentary was announced on social media by the Alexandria Fire Department on Tuesday and was showcased at the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC) conference, which is currently underway in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center and runs through Thursday.
The event, Fire-Rescue International 2025, attracts thousands of fire and emergency service leaders from North America and internationally each summer. In addition to the conference, the event includes an exhibition hall where hundreds of vendors showcase the latest innovations in fire service apparatus, technology, equipment, and gear.
The documentary produced by WebsEdge IAFC TV, highlights the department's investments in advanced training, innovative technology, and public engagement initiatives. It also references the department's response to the deadly January incident at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, where the department's response was marked by professionalism and resolve, bringing dignity and order to an unimaginable scene at DCA airport.
