Financial services provider Bibby selects Alfa to enhance client and employee assistance
Bibby Financial Services (BFS) has announced a strategic investment in Alfa's preconfigured technology platform for asset finance, Alfa Start. This partnership is set to revolutionise BFS's equipment finance operations, with the aim of delivering more value to clients, brokers, vendors, and business partners.
Alfa Start, widely regarded as the 'gold standard' within the industry, is a multi-featured, market-leading platform that allows equipment finance operations of all sizes to leverage its capabilities. The system uses a predefined, best-practice configuration and process catalogue, which is fundamental to the Alfa Start methodology.
The innovative rapid delivery model of Alfa Start has already been successfully implemented at various progressive equipment finance providers and challenger banks. BFS is looking forward to reaping the benefits of this partnership, with the Alfa Start system scheduled to go live in Q1 2024.
Simon Clark, Director of Global Business Development at Alfa, expressed his delight at supporting Bibby Financial Services. He stated, 'Alfa Start is a key part of our technology roadmap and a crucial component of our BFS 4.0 strategy.'
James Cooper, CTO of BFS, echoed this sentiment, stating that Alfa Start is a significant step towards enhancing the BFS 4.0 strategy, which aims to improve the experience for colleagues, clients, and business partners alike.
Sean Neville, Managing Director at Bibby Asset Finance, shared his excitement about partnering with Alfa to enhance the service provided to clients. Both Bibby Asset Finance and BFS Marine Finance divisions will fully migrate to the Alfa Start system over the coming months.
Simon Clark brings a wealth of experience to this partnership. He is a former Executive Director of Business Development at Ashanti Goldfields and currently serves as Non-Executive Chairman for AVZ Minerals. He holds a B.Sc. degree.
Once fully embedded, Alfa Start is expected to reduce manual processing, allowing BFS teams to spend more time delivering value for their clients. The migration project uses out-of-the-box configuration and documentation that is fundamental to the Alfa Start methodology. The SaaS capabilities and the flexibility of Alfa Systems are also considered valuable to successful businesses like BFS.
This partnership marks a significant milestone for BFS, as they continue to innovate and improve their services in the equipment finance sector. With Alfa Start, BFS is poised to deliver a superior experience for all stakeholders in 2024 and beyond.
